6/29/10
START Bus will run only one bus to and from Jackson on both its Star Valley and Teton Valley commuter routes on Monday, July 5th. The Star Valley bus will depart Etna at 6:35am and return from Jackson at 4:50pm. The Teton Valley bus will depart Driggs at 6:35am and return from Jackson at 5:10pm. START will be running its full service summer schedule on all other routes.

START will not be running buses from and to Star Valley and Teton Valley on Friday, December 25th, Christmas Day and Friday, January 1st, New Year’s Day. Please make other arrangements if you need to be in Jackson on these days. START apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

The Smith's and HWY 89 Turnout stops on the Star Valley route discontinued after November 27, 2009.

There will not be START bus service on November 28, 2008 - Thanksgiving Day. This is the only day of the year START does not operate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

There will be a public hearing on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 11:30am at the Old Library Building at 320 S. King St. on the proposed fare increase.

Due to the rising cost of fuel, START Bus is proposing a fare increase. Since the last fare increase in 2006, the cost of fuel has increased 34%. In order for the proportion of operating expenses paid by fares collected from the riders to remain relatively constant, a fare increase is needed.

The following increases are proposed to become effective September 1, 2008:

Monthly Pass - $125 to $150

10 Ticket Book - $52 to$65

Single Ride - $7 to $9

There will be a public hearing on this matter at the START Board meeting on August 28, 2008 at 11:30am at the Old Library Building, 320 South King St, Jackson.

START Bus will not be operating on Thursday, November 22, 2007, Thanksgiving Day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thanksgiving is the only day of the year START Bus does not have service.

TETON VALLEY SCHEDULE CHANGE
The second morning bus to Jackson is able to accommodate more riders by leaving Driggs at 7:15AM.
